In today's fast-paced world, finding ways to promote tranquility and well-being is more important than ever. Today we are going to share more about what Therapy with liz at Towards Tranquility Therapy might look like in terms of promoting well-being and fostering a sense of tranquility.

Therapy sessions with Liz are a collaborative process, where clients are encouraged to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe and non-judgmental space.

Liz understands that everyone is an individual and will have different preferences in terms of the tools, activities and direction taken within the sessions.

Through being a School Therapist within Primary and High Schools Liz can bring creativity, fun and out of the box activities to support processing of difficult situations and emotions. These approaches are often welcomed by adults as well especially where people may struggle to talk about particularly difficult or overwhelming aspects of their lives.

Somatic approaches can also be used within sessions and can be particularly effective when managing big emotions and body based memories to bring the body back into a state of feeling regulated but at the same time able to tolerate difficult emotions without being overwhelmed.

Sometimes the work together might include tapping into the subconcious mind in a different way to help build new pathways to support the body and brains natural ability to regenerate and grow. This might be through the use of clinical hypnosis which utilises deep relaxation to tap into the subconcious mind so that supportive suggestions can be offered up as alternatives. Often people think of clinical hypnotherapy in terms of what they have seen on TV and as entertainment. Clincial hypnotherapy is very different and focuses on using the subconscious mind with the recipient being in full control to get the best effect.

An example of how hypnotherapy might be used within session is through creating a trigger / anchor response e.g. if someone feels anxious around a particular situation and can recognise a body response, we can look to use that body response as a trigger for different behaviours to happen in the body such as tightening of the shoulders creating an urge and response to release the tension in the shoulders which then leads to a sensation of relaxation flooding through the body. This can be increadibly beneficial to use especially in highly stressful situations and can support the thinking logical brain staying online rather than going into survival / stress mode.

Another example of a tool used within sessions might be a Gestalt technique call Chair Work, we might use this as a way of rehersing a difficult conversation and options around how to be assertive in getting your voice heard, maintain boundaries and or get your needs met.

We might use visualisation to help you create a safe space in your mind where you can feel free of the complications of life around you for a short while, this can be used to increase self-awareness, reduce stress, and cultivate a greater sense of inner peace.

Therapy with Towards Tranquility can provide the support and guidance you need to navigate life's challenges and cultivate a sense of tranquility. Take the first step towards a more peaceful and fulfilling life by exploring the therapy options available at Towards Tranquility Therapy with Liz.
